Dom has always had a strong association with education and community projects and each year delivers workshops to hundreds of school children throughout the UK. He has led education projects for Manchester Camerata, Northern Chamber Orchestra, Arts Council England, City of London Sinfonia, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Sheffield Crucible and the National Children’s Orchestra and has led Teacher Training Days for Hull City Council.
He was composer and Musical Director for Sheffield Crucible's 40th Anniversary community show "Lives In Art" a huge production with a community cast of 60+, a pit orchestra and an on-stage choir. The Guardian wrote in it's 4* review of the show: “it’s the measure of a thriving regional theatre that it can follow prestige events such as an Othello featuring The Wire stars Clarke Peters and Dominic West with a mammoth community play whose production standards are every bit as impressive. Anyone who cares about the Crucible ought to see this show. Anyone who cares about art might like to join them.”
